Christi’s Spaghetti Sauce

1 lb. Ground chuck
1 onion, chopped very fine
2 garlic cloves
½ green pepper, finely chopped
4 oz. or less fresh mushrooms, sliced
Sugar to taste
Few drops of Tabasco
few sprinkles of crushed red pepper
2 tsp. oregano
1 small tomato paste
3 to 4 cans pureed tomato
Fresh ground pepper
Sear the meat, drain and add onion, garlic, peppers and mushroom, stir till veggies get a little browned. Add the rest of the spices. Add tomato products and a little red wine along with the sugar. Adjust seasonings. Serve over al dente spaghetti. I began making this after visiting Italy. I loved the al dente noodles and the flavors in the sauce.
