1 package (16 ounce) won ton wrappers

3/4 pound ground pork (can add chopped shrimp or crab) (I also use Jimmy Dean's mild pork sausage)

8 water chestnuts chopped

1/4 cup finely chopped green onion

1 T soy sauce

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cornstarch

1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger (can use 3/4 tsp. dried in a pinch)

Mix meat with all ingredients except won ton wrappers. Shape as follows:

1) Place 1/2 tsp. meat in center of each wrap.

2) Fold over into a triangle.

3) Moisten edges with water and egg white.

4) Seal triangle and press firmly

6) Fry at 350 degrees, a few at a time, until browned.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
